Lavender Cafe in Morgantown

Best Chinese I've had in WV. General Tso is amazing I highly recommend. They're a little exspensive compared to other places but definitely worth the extra couple dollars per meal. There's only one Chinese place I've had that was better and it was in Tennessee also it was like $25 a meal.

This is one of my favourite places, everyone is friendly and they have excellent ginger tea.

Very good food. Seating was comfortable. Menu was massive, but easily navigable. And they serve bubble tea, which is a new favorite of mine.

I loved this restaurant! The ingredients to include the vegetables were fresh and made for a perfect Chinese cuisine. Additionally, they packed our takeout perfectly so there wouldn't be any messes or spills. Loved it!

Poor establishment in terms of customer service. There is absolutely no reason for them to have more than a one star from me. Delivery was 30 minutes past the quoted time, and the food was simply inedible. Their chicken entrees are absolutely drowning in sauce, and burnt to the point of inedibility. When requesting a refund, they state that they don’t “offer refunds at this time.” 9 pieces of burnt chicken and a side of rice for $15. They won’t give store credit or remake the food either. Zero accountability from the restaurant for mistakes THEY made. Nearly $50 for dinner and you’d think they’d offer something to make the customer feel like ordering from there in the future is a possibility. NEVER again. The true dealbreaker for me is the rudeness of the staff. Never have I experienced such terrible service.

This place doesn't even deserve a 1-star rating. I have NO idea how it has good reviews on Google and Grubhub. Honestly, this is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I can say this because I gave Lavender several chances. The first time I just got something from the lunch special and it was cold and not worth the value. Today I got sesame chicken and it was literally 95% bread and barely 5% chicken. The sauce was ok, but the chicken was a joke. Finally, the worst part about Lavender is the sushi. A few months ago I got 2 sushi rolls (can't remember which ones) and remember thinking that something was off about them. I ate it anyway (BIG MISTAKE) and a few hours later it all came back up and I had food poisoning for another couple of days. I can't believe this place is still in business. They obviously don't have a clean kitchen or competent management. Don't waste your time or money, unless you want fried bread and food poisoning.

Small hidden gem. More flavors of hot and cold tea than I could imagine. The absolute best pork dumplings.

Orange chicken was very hard and dry. Chicken was dry, and the outside was mostly hard, fried batter.

Great shrimp with broccoli in brown sauce and Kung Pao shrimp and chicken. Love their bubble teas!
